Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) registration in India is a process by which small and medium-sized businesses can officially register themselves with the government. Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible for MSME registration, a business must fall under the following criteria based on investment in plant and machinery or equipment and annual turnover:
- Micro Enterprise: Investment in plant and machinery or equipment does not exceed Rs. 25 lakhs, and annual turnover does not exceed Rs. 10 lakhs.
- Small Enterprise: Investment in plant and machinery or equipment is between Rs. 25 lakhs and Rs. 5 crores, and annual turnover is between Rs. 10 lakhs and Rs. 2 crores.
- Medium Enterprise: Investment in plant and machinery or equipment is between Rs. 5 crores and Rs. 10 crores, and annual turnover is between Rs. 2 crores and Rs. 5 crores.

Registration Process: MSME registration can be done online through the Udyam Registration portal. Here are the steps:
a. Visit the Udyam Registration Portal: Go to the official MSME registration portal, which is https://udyamregistration.gov.in.
b. Online Application: Fill out the online registration form with the required details, including your Aadhar number, business name, PAN (Permanent Account Number), and other relevant information.
c. Verification: Verify your Aadhar details through OTP (One-Time Password) sent to your registered mobile number.
d. Details Entry: Fill in the details of your business, including the type of organization, location, and the number of employees.
e. Submit: After completing the form, submit it.

Udyam Registration Number: Once the application is processed, you will receive an Udyam Registration Number, which serves as your MSME registration number.
